WASHINGTON — The number of Americans diagnosed with the seasonal flu shot has dropped to its lowest level since records began in 2009, according to a report released Tuesday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Monday that the number of cases of the flu shot, which was first tested in the U.S. in November, has dropped by less than 1 percent.
The decrease is the lowest since records started in 2009.
The report comes after a recent study from researchers at Stanford University and University of California, Los Angeles found that only 15 states and the District of Columbia had reported a decline in flu-related deaths in the past week.
