What you need to know about healthcare inequality

As a health care worker, you can expect to see more of the same as the number of health care workers in the US increases.
While the healthcare industry may be growing, inequality is still an issue.
“There are a lot of people who are still working in the health care industry and they’re still being paid very poorly,” Dr. Dalia Beshara, an assistant professor of sociology at the University of California, San Diego, told the New York Times.
Besharia has studied healthcare inequality for decades and said that inequality has risen in recent years.
Bewildered and upset over the growing inequality, some workers are quitting their jobs and going back to school to help pay their bills.
But for the vast majority of Americans, the health profession is still working hard to make sure that health care is affordable and accessible to all.
